Compare and contrast how the Clock family in the Borrowers and the Baileys in the Stranger treat an outsider in their home. Remember complete sentences!
They are both kind of freaked out and all but they are also nice to the stranger and the boy. In the Borrowers story the boy gives them a dresser and they like it so they are nice to him but in "The Stranger" story, farmer Bailey hits the stranger with his truck but still helps him. Farmer Bailey also thinks that the stranger is kinda freaky and strange and different while in the Borrowers story the boy is just like them but more of a giant.
The Clock family has a big human and the Baileys have a strange man in their house. The Clocks felt like the boy was taking care of them. The Baileys felt like they were taking care of the man.It is like they both have someone in their house that is different.
Well the clocks are nice to the boy and the Baileys are nice to the stranger they both start to get a friend ship with the stranger and also in the clocks they get a friendship with the boy. The clocks have a boy and maybe no mother or father and the stranger also maybe has no mother or father. The clocks are tiny and live under the floorboards. The Baileys are big and live in a house.
The clock family is scared at first and then they start to like him. And the Baileys hit a stranger with a car and so they take care of him. That is how they treat a stranger.
The Borrowers daughter Arrietty made friends with him without her parents knowing. Pod and Homily did not like the boy at first. The Bailey family treated the stranger nicely. And they were happy that they had him.
1. The borrower's were not happy at the boy. 2. They did not when the boy is taking the stuff. 3. The baily's mind the stranger to stay. 4. The baily's liked the stranger there.
Currently I teach 4th grade, I am the mother of 2 kids: my hero, a son who served 2 tours of duty in Iraq as a U.S. Marine and a awesome daughter in middle school.
