I am going to tell you why the book is so important to Maria. It is so important to her because she can compare the problems in the book to everyday problems she has. Also because her problems seem so small to Wilburs. Why is because she can relate to the book. That is why Maria thinks the book is so important.
Charlotte's Web is important to Maria Isabel because she really likes the book. She feels sad for Wilbur because he is being fattened up for Christmas dinner. She likes it because it might be interesting to her. She is wondering what might happen to Wilbur.
Maria likes it because it helps her to solve her problems and Wilbur's problem. The book helps her solve her own problems that she has and when she has a answer to help save wilbur she gets an answer to her own problems.
She likes it so much because she has something to read for free time. She also tries to help solve the problem that Wilbur has about get fattened up for christmas dinner and she likes solving her own problems by help from the book.
Maria likes to solve the problems she has and reading what will happen next in her library book. She is reading while the other kids rehearse for the winter pageant
This is why i think she likes it so much. She likes it because Wilber has problems and she has problem. So reading a book that some one has problems and they get solved it fells like she might feel bettor about her problems. THat is why she likes the book.

Currently I teach 4th grade, I am the mother of 2 kids: my hero, a son who served 2 tours of duty in Iraq as a U.S. Marine and a awesome daughter in middle school.
She likes it because it helps her solve her problems. Maria also likes the book just for reading.
