I think they were sad and everything but they probably also respected him so they didn't act all mad that he was leaving. I would feel really sad. I think they knew it was the best for him to go.
The fans probably felt very sad that he had a really bad sickness. But they probably felt that it was a wonderful speech. Yes I would feel really lucky to be listening to it.
I think that the fans felt very touched. They probably felt that they need to do more for him. I would do because Lou Gehrig was an amazing man. Most of the fans probably wanted to get up to the mic and say "Everyone, let's give three cheers for Lou Gehrig!!" If I was there at that time, I swear, I would get out of my seat, run down, go onto the field and give Lou Gehrig a huge hug. He was truly amazing and wonderful at baseball. Lou Gehrig is still one of the best baseball players in the world, today. We should all honor him.
I think they felt happy and sad because they were happy that he got up there and gave speech they were sad because he was dying. Yes, I would feel that way to because he was the famous brave Lou Gehrig.
I think that they felt very sad and happy to see Lou. If I were there I would cry. I would also be confused because why in the world would I be at a baseball game. But I would like to see a ball game.
I think that they felt really bad because there favorite player in the New York Yankees has to quite because of a very bad illness. I would have felt the same way because I thought that he was a very good person. I thing that a lot of other people thought that he was a good person too. He never spoke of his illness to make other people feel bad for him he just said that he had many things to be thankful for. So other people realize that they have things to be thankful for too. That is how I feel and how I think they feel too. So I think that he was very selfless.
Currently I teach 4th grade, I am the mother of 2 kids: my hero, a son who served 2 tours of duty in Iraq as a U.S. Marine and a awesome daughter in middle school.
