I think that he finally decides to play with Ephram because he wants to see if he is good anymore. I also think that he wanted to have joy in his life again.
I think that Mr. Washington decided to play at that night because he knew how much it meant to Ephram and I think he wanted to feel like Ephram was kind of like his son. I also think he had a lot of fun playing the piano again. Maybe he regained all of his joy. -Skyler
I think that Mr. Washington played with Ephram because he might of thought it would put joy back into his life. Also he might of played with Ephram because he didn't want to let him down. He might of also played with him because he is a great pianist and Ephram can play really well.
I think that he thought that it would bring the joy back in his life. I also think that thought that it was the right thing to do. He didn't want to disappoint Ephram at the consert.
Currently I teach 4th grade, I am the mother of 2 kids: my hero, a son who served 2 tours of duty in Iraq as a U.S. Marine and a awesome daughter in middle school.

He wanted to try just for Ephram. He could play in the dark okay so he thought he would try at the concert.
