  1. He never missed a day of school and that helped him later on because he never missed a game even when he was not on the team any more.

Lou always got up early to play sports. That helped him because there are some games that are really early and some that are really late so, so he was used to being tired. Also he never missed school, so he never missed a game. These are the things that I think helped him.

Lou Gehrig never missed a day of grade school and that helped him later in his life because he never missed a baseball game even when he was not on the team that got him the name Iron Horse. He also loved school then he loved baseball. He was doing something he loved and could get a lot of money. Since his parents were poor so he had a chance to earn a lot of money. In the mornings he always played baseball, soccer, and also football. That is what helped him to get into the Yankee's team.

It helped that he did all the the school work to estimate where the ball would go. Also he had a habit of not missing a day of school. That helped him be on time foe all the games he competed in. That would help there team a lot because all teams need all the help they can get because there are a lot of good baseball teams. Also most of them have good strategies that can be hard to find out. So they need there hole team to be there just incase they need a substitute. One that can go in if somebody dose not feel good or gets an ingress and can not catch or bat. Thats why they always need somebody to help.
